Omega Investigate
Coming soon For licensed investigators and the clients who brief them

Briefs, evidence and reports, kept between you and your client.

Omega Investigate gives your agency a secure app for investigators in the field, a free client portal for the people who brief you, and a clear record of what was captured and when. Every message, photo and report is encrypted on the device that sends it.

  • Encrypted end to end
  • Free client portal
  • Mesh radio for surveillance teams
Two apps, one system

One app for the agency. A simpler one for clients.

Investigators and the people who brief them need different things, so Omega Investigate comes in two parts that talk to each other.

For you and your investigators

Omega Investigate agency app

The working tool for investigators, case managers and the principal.

  • Client conversations sorted by case
  • Team chats for each job, including surveillance shifts
  • Photos and video that keep the time and place they were taken
  • Mesh radio between operatives when the mobile network is patchy
  • Display names you choose, so clients see a case team and not a personal number
For your clients

Omega Investigate client portal

A private line to the investigators a client has engaged, and nothing else.

  • Free for clients
  • Connects only to the agencies they've engaged
  • Several agencies and process servers in the one portal
  • Reports, invoices and cost estimates in one place
  • Approve the next stage of work with one tap
Client portal

Clients join by invitation from your agency.

When you take the job, you send the client a code or a link. They install the portal, accept the invitation, and can message the case team straight away. Nobody can search for your investigators, so the only people who reach them are clients you've invited.

A solicitor, insurer or private client who briefs more than one agency keeps every one of them side by side in the same portal. When the job closes, you archive the case and the client keeps a copy of the final report.

What your client sees

  • Your agency name, the case name and your hours
  • Updates, photos and reports you choose to release
  • Cost estimates waiting for their approval
  • Nothing about any other client or case, ever
Evidence handling

A clear record of what was captured, and when.

Photos, video and voice notes captured in the app carry the time, the place and the investigator who took them. Each file gets its own checksum when it's taken, so you can show later that it hasn't been changed.

Captured in the app

Time, place and investigator are recorded the moment the photo or clip is taken.

Checked for changes

Each file carries a checksum, so any later edit shows up straight away.

Released when you decide

Nothing reaches the client until the case manager releases it.

Your agency

Your operatives, your office and the people you work with.

Omega Investigate will replace the mix of personal phones, chat apps and email attachments that sensitive cases often end up spread across.

Privacy and the law

Built for licensed work in Australia.

Private investigators in Australia hold a state or territory licence, such as one issued under Queensland's Security Providers Act 1993, and must handle what they learn with care. Omega Investigate is being designed to support your licence conditions, the Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles where they apply to your business, and the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.

Surveillance and listening device laws differ from state to state. The app never records a call or a conversation on its own, so any recording stays a decision you make within the law where you work.

We'll publish a plain-English privacy and security statement for agencies before launch.

Discreet by design

  • Lock screen alerts show a case name and nothing else
  • Fingerprint or face unlock every time the app opens
  • Our servers hold no key that can read messages or files
  • Australian agencies' account details kept in Australia
  • Remove an operative's access the moment they finish
Security

Encrypted on your device. Opened only on theirs.

The keys that open your conversations are made on your own devices and stay there. Our servers pass sealed messages along and hold no key that can read them.

Your device seals it

Each message and file gets its own key before it leaves your phone.

Omega Investigate relays it

Our servers store and deliver the sealed message without being able to open it.

Their device opens it

Only the devices it was addressed to can unwrap the key and read it.

Questions

What investigators ask us.

Does Omega Investigate replace my case management software?

No. Your case files, timesheets and billing stay where they are. Omega Investigate handles the conversations and the files that travel with them: investigator to client, and investigator to investigator.

What does it cost my clients?

Nothing. The client portal is free. A client who wants the full Omega messenger for their own use can upgrade inside the portal for a personal subscription.

Can a subject or a third party find us in the app?

No. There's no public directory. People reach your agency only through an invitation you've sent, and you can withdraw it at any time.

Will the time and place on our photos stand up?

The app records them at the moment of capture and adds a checksum, so later changes are easy to spot. Whether a court accepts a piece of evidence is still a matter for the court, so keep following your usual evidence practices.

Where is our data kept?

Messages and files are encrypted on the phone that sends them and our servers can't open them. Account details for Australian agencies are held in Australia.

We work outside Australia. Can we join?

We're starting with Australian agencies. Register your interest and tell us where you work.
